If it's as Barb suggested (which I personally think is the case), then I don't see why the great secrecy. It's not like they didn't announce when Rob and Leonie started dating (remember Darren's post on Savagefan telling us?) and it's not like they didn't announce their engagement. This is nothing more than a very natural extension of that union.

And to play the devil's advocate, so what if the rumors are true? New life is always joyous and wonderful, and his fans would be nothing less than trilled because we all know how much Darren loves children and wants them.

I don't know if this made sense or not. I just don't understand why the great secrecy about something this joyous. And perhaps it's the secrecy that is creating the rumors and that makes them hurt.
